Hans Lang

The Hans Lang estate was founded in 1853 by Johann Joseph Lang. The domain owns 18 hectares of vineyards in the villages on Hattenheim and Assmannshausen, which border the river Rhine. Johann Maximilian Lang (known as Hans) has managed the Estate since 1972. Organic viticulture (Ecovin certified), restricted yields, and hand harvesting are practiced to produce wines that are as natural as possible. Hans Lang is a member of the Charta Association and makes an astonishing Charta Riesling.

He is also a selected member of the prestigious VDP, an organization of the finest quality German wineries, and has holdings among the Erstes Gewächs or "Grand Cru" vineyard designations of Hattenheim and Weisselbrun.
